Search ATHENA for information about your author and work.  Visually search the Reference materials in the 800's and 920's.
For literary criticism and reviews, try Book Review Digest (REF 015)

Use iCONN, specifically the Biography Resource Center and the Discovering Collection.  Other databases may help as well.
Use EBSCO's Literary Reference Center to find information about your author and work.

Search the `open web' using Google or Safe Clusty to find information. Refine your search using +, -, and “ “. Try to find your author's personal website, if one exists. If you need help, ask your librarian. Some great sites online include LII, IPL, and Intute. These will offer you some of the best sites about your topic.

You might also check Amazon and Cayermedia's Reading Links.

Use the GALE LITERARY INDEX to find titles and volume numbers for the reference books we have. Note: Hall Library does not own all of the books you see listed.

Historical Connections
Search ATHENA for historical connections to your author and work.  Visually search the Reference materials in the 900's for historical background information as well.
