Search ATHENA for information about your author and work. Visually search the Reference materials in the 800's and 920's.
For literary criticism and reviews, try Book Review Digest (REF 015)
Use iCONN, specifically the Biography Resource Center and the Discovering Collection. Other databases may help as well.
Search the `open web' using Google or Safe Clusty to find information. Refine your search using +, -, and “ “. Try to find your author's personal website, if one exists. If you need help, ask your librarian. Some great sites online include LII, IPL, and Intute. These will offer you some of the best sites about your topic.
